The support I have received from throughout the district has been amazing. This has not been an easy campaign by any means, but I am energized by all of those that continue to support me. A big thank you goes out to Julia Chambers for opening her beautiful home to Team Sabo!

Team Sabo had a great evening at the 19th annual Don Jennings Award Dinner this past weekend. The Don Jennings award is bestowed each year by the Manistee County Democratic Party to a person who helps improve the lives of others in their community and represent those who couldn’t represent themselves. Congratulations to Karen Goodman who has touched so many lives and improved her community through her dedication and hard work.
Team Sabo held our annual Sabo Open golf outing! It was another crowded field of golfers and supporters and everyone seemed to have a great time enjoying the beautiful weather and fellowship. Thanks to everyone who participated in the various ways.
I attended the PDWC Women’s Equality Day Celebration in Norton Shores. People came out in great numbers to support the cause and to hear from current Michigan House of Representatives Democratic Caucus Leader Donna Lasinski. Leader Lasinski and I have been serving together nearly 6 years and I am proud to serve on her leadership team. I also had the honor of presenting a State of Michigan Special Tribute to longtime elected official and my friend, Rillastine Wilkins. Ms. Wilkins has served as a Muskegon Heights City Councilwoman, Mayor and now County Commissioner. She is a true icon in the Muskegon area.
As a Veteran and retired firefighter/police officer, it was an honor to join Scouts from the Gerald R. Ford Council in today’s Scout Salute remembering 9/11. Events took place at both the LST 393 and USS Silversides museums in Muskegon. I spoke about what I remembered from that day 21 years ago and the unified country we had immediately after. I applaud the Scouts for their remembrance and patriotism.
We had a successful fundraiser with State Senator Mallory McMorrow, whose speech on reproductive rights went viral recently. She graciously traveled from the east side of the state to show her strong support for Terry. Thanks to everyone who attended--we can't do it without you!

Members of the Michigan Pipe Trades Association joined us for some door knocking in the Manistee area. It was a great time as we reached many voters in the area. Thanks again for their support and that of all the building trades.
On this Labor Day, let's remember that unions gave us the 40 hour work week, eight hour work day, overtime, job safety laws and so much more. In the last two years as state representative, I worked with our staff labor attorney to create and introduce nearly 200 bills related to workers in the public and private sectors including public schools and health care workers during the pandemic. As your future state senator, I pledge to continue my fight for fair and equal laws for working people.
Team Sabo was once again volunteering in the community supporting Disability Network at Muskegon Party in the Park. Terry has always believed in giving back to his community!
I was joined by State Senator Chang, State Senator Hertel, their staff members and State Senator Brinks’ staff as we knocked doors in Muskegon County. A big thank you to those who drove 2 hours or more and took vacation days just to help out!

Terry J. Sabo joined community leaders, police officers and Consumers Energy last night walking in some neighborhoods of Muskegon Heights handing out light bulbs. Terry has been a part of this community for 31 years so it was great to get out and see old friends and promote positive relationships. Sponsored by Consumers Energy, Light Up The City is a collaborative effort of government agencies, private entities, and community organizations to engage residents in promoting practices that encourage safe neighborhoods.
It was a beautiful evening on the shores of Mona Lake with great food and music! Terry was thankful to be surrounded by people of all political backgrounds who learned more about him and why he plans to be their next State Senator. Thanks to all who came out in support!

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for The Muskegon Museum of Art's $11.2 million expansion project.
High school graduation is the celebration of accomplishment. It can also mean the beginning of something new. It was an honor to spend some time with the young adults from Duck Creek Adult Alternative Education at their graduation ceremony. We all have hurdles to overcome in life and these young students have done just that. Now they look ahead to a new beginning. Terry J. Sabo wishes them all success in their future.
The community of Gaylord was recently hit with a tornado that left behind death and destruction to many. Some residents of Manistee decided to quickly take over a carload of hygiene supplies and non-perishable foods. Team Sabo pitched in to help with the effort by donating to the cause. Our condolences remain for the families that lost a loved one as the Gaylord community begins to rebuild.
Terry J. Sabo stopped by the City of Manistee Fire Department recently to visit with his brother firefighters. They gave him a tour of their historic fire station and talked about the jobs they perform on a daily basis. This is how Terry J. Sabo represents, by being there and listening.
The people of Manistee gave Terry J. Sabo a warm welcome last Saturday for the Manistee County Campaign Launch event. Their concerns are not unique, but have gone unheard for far too long. Terry looks forward to listening to them more as we go door-to-door and continue to interact with community leaders.
Team Sabo had a great time volunteering at Kid’s Food Basket in Muskegon! This is Terry's lifelong home and he has always believed strongly in giving back through service. Not just at campaign time, but ALL the time.
The Northside Lions club solicits funds from the public to support local sight conservation projects by exchanging white cane tags for donations. This is also an opportunity to make the public aware of the "White Cane Law " in Michigan. This law also deals with Public Accommodation and covers the use of Leader Dogs and Service Dogs.
Terry J. Sabo attended a rally to support the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and their proposed casino project in Fruitport Township. With bipartisan support and opposition across the state, it has been important to Terry to make sure the Governor and her team understand the tremendous community support we have. Through those numerous conversations, Terry wanted to ensure there is a complete understanding of the positive impact this would have to the Greater Muskegon area. Terry have stood strong in his support for the LRBOI and his advocacy for the Greater Muskegon area and will continue to do so.
At the Annual Muskegon County Democratic Party Gala, Terry J. Sabo was honored to receive the 'Gary Conrad Award' which recognizes contributions to the Democratic Party. The late Gary Conrad was a longtime advocate for workers and for the Democratic Party. To be recognized with this award named in his honor was humbling and to have Terry's family and friends present to witness the surprise announcement made it even more memorable.

It was a great time this afternoon at the annual Chili Competition benefiting Kids' Food Basket at The Brewer's Lounge At Pigeon Hill. I didn’t win any awards for my chili, but the true reward was raising money for Kids Food Basket. Thanks to everyone who came out to support.

Thank you to everyone who came out to last night’s Spaghetti Dinner Campaign Fundraiser. Elections require that one has great supporters and willing volunteers and last night showed we have plenty of both. Thank you to all those who came, ate, and donated to my campaign; you were generous beyond my belief! I have always had wonderful supporters, but through this process the true level of support I have exceeds every expectation. It was extremely humbling, and I am truly grateful. And to the volunteers, who worked in the kitchen, who setup and tore down the event, and those who cleaned afterwards, thank you. Your tireless efforts ensured that crowd of around 250 supporters were served a great meal.
